The Château Celebrant

The Heart Behind the Ceremony

Laura moved from the UK to France five years ago, drawn by the promise of more sun, space, and a life a little less ordinary. What she found was all of that — and more. After three years of travelling and living full-time in a motorhome, she eventually put down roots in the beautiful Dordogne, where she now calls home.

Her life is shaped by both movement and meaning. She is a mother to a 25-year-old son, a musician based in the UK, and the kind of distance that comes with that relationship is something she speaks about with both pride and tenderness. Much of her time is spent outdoors — walking her rescue dog, Pepper, through the French countryside, or exploring the quiet charm of nearby towns and cities.

Health, fitness, and challenge are a constant thread in her life. In 2023 she completed a Spartan Race in the French Alps — a reflection of her belief in pushing boundaries and embracing discomfort as part of growth, both physically and personally.

She is equally drawn to stillness and contrast: nature, sunrise moments, deep house music, coffee, champagne, and long walks with space to think. She reads widely, especially around philosophy and psychology, and would describe herself as an ambivert — equally at home in reflection and connection.

Becoming a celebrant three years ago marked a turning point. It brought together her love of people, storytelling, and meaningful ritual. Working with couples as they commit to one another has deepened her belief in lasting relationships, and she considers it a privilege to be trusted with such significant moments.

She also spends time in Mallorca, where much of her family is based. Having married there herself in a traditional finca, she understands first-hand what it feels like to plan a destination wedding from abroad — and the emotional weight, excitement, and detail that comes with it.

If you’re dreaming of a ceremony that feels meaningful, relaxed and unforgettable, with someone you trust to guide the way, I’d be honoured to be your celebrant.

The Experience I Bring to Your Ceremony

A bride and groom standing with under a floral arch at an outdoor wedding. The groom is in a black tuxedo, the bride is in a white wedding dress holding a bouquet, and the woman is in a black and white outfit. Green trees and grass form the background.

I’m a fully trained celebrant with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants — but more importantly, I’m someone who has always been drawn to people, their stories, and the moments that truly matter.

In my twenties and thirties, I worked as a presenter and model under the name Laura Delanie — a chapter of my life that taught me confidence, connection, and how to hold space with ease. When my son was small, I ran my own beauty business, before moving into roles as a marketing manager and helping to run an architecture practice.

More recently, I’ve worked as a menopause and life coach, supporting women through some of life’s most significant transitions.

What connects all of these chapters is a simple thread: listening deeply, understanding people, and creating space for their stories to be heard.

I believe this is why I’m able to tell your love story in a way that feels natural, meaningful, and completely true to who you are as a couple.

Your ceremony sets the tone for your entire day — let’s make it unforgettable.
