A Little About Me

Hello, I'm Laura!

I'm a wedding celebrant, a storyteller, a hopeless romantic and someone who genuinely loves people and the wonderful, sometimes unexpected ways our lives come together.

I've always been fascinated by people's stories. How they meet, the choices they make, the little coincidences that change everything and, of course, how two people find one another and fall in love.

Perhaps that's why I love being a celebrant so much. I get to meet wonderful couples, hear their stories, share in their excitement and create something incredibly personal for one of the most important days of their lives. It's a privilege I never take for granted.

A Life Full of Different Chapters

My own life has been anything but conventional, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

In my twenties and thirties, I worked as a model and television presenter under the name Laura Delanie. I've run my own business, worked in marketing, helped manage an architecture practice and, more recently, built a career as a menopause and life coach through my business, Marvellous Midlife.

I've also made some fairly big life decisions along the way, including moving to France and spending three wonderful years living and travelling in a motorhome.

All of these experiences have taught me something about people, relationships and the importance of living a life that feels true to who you are.

My coaching work, which I continue outside the wedding season, has given me an even deeper appreciation of the importance of listening, asking the right questions and understanding what really matters to someone.

I think at the heart of creating a beautiful wedding ceremony, it's not about using the perfect words from a template. It's about getting to know you, understanding your relationship and finding the words that make you smile, laugh, perhaps shed a tear and, most importantly, recognise yourselves in every moment.

The Person Behind the Ceremonies

Away from weddings, I'm happiest outdoors, walking my rescue dog Pepper, watching the sunrise with a coffee or enjoying a beautiful sunset with a glass of champagne.

I'm a very proud mum to my son Sol, I love dancing, good conversation, meeting new people and discovering new places. I'm naturally curious, always learning and very much a glass-half-full kind of person.

I believe life is for living, love is worth celebrating and there's usually something to smile about, even when things don't quite go to plan.

France has been home for several years and holds a very special place in my heart. Mallorca does too. My family live there, and having organised my own wedding on the island, I know firsthand the excitement, the logistics and occasionally the challenges of planning a destination wedding!

I'm professionally trained with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, but beyond the qualifications, what I bring to your wedding is warmth, experience, a sense of humour and a genuine interest in you both.

I want you to feel completely comfortable with me. I want us to laugh together, for you to feel excited about your ceremony and to know that you're in safe hands.

Whether you're marrying in a romantic French château, overlooking the Mediterranean in Mallorca or celebrating somewhere beautiful in the UK, my approach is always the same: to create a ceremony that's heartfelt, relaxed, elegant and completely personal to you.

No two couples are the same, and your ceremony shouldn't be either.
